Girl with Umbrella

I've been having a bit creative block recently. Every time I've started drawing, what I'm drawing has turned to crap on the page. This drawing is an attempt to move beyond that. It's nothing in particular, based on a photo from The Sartorialist. It's mostly a intended to demonstrate to myself that I haven't in fact forgotten how to draw. This is brush and ink on Bristol board. It's for sale at my Etsy store if you like it enough that you want to own it.

Meanwhile, my comics Kickstarter is entering the long middle slog until the end. Check it out here.

I'm trying out Patreon as a means of funding my blogs. They don't have a widget yet, so this link will just have to do. If you like my writing and art and if you'd like to support Krell Laboratories and Christianne's Art and Comics, please come on over and pledge. Thanks.

Emma Stone

This is a warm-up drawing I did this morning to start my day. It's Emma Stone, though I think it looks a bit like Meg Foster, too. This is mechanical pencil on Canson XL series sketchbook paper. It's for sale (cheap!) in my Etsy store if you'd like to buy it.

Captain Marvel vs. The Super Skrull

I've been meaning to draw the new version of Captain Marvel ever since I saw the re-designed costume. This is brush and ink on bristol board, colored with prismacolor markers.

I kinda wish I hadn't colored this. I think I like the black and white version better.

This is for sale in my Etsy store.

Johnny Cash

Taking a break from commission work today. I decided to draw Johnny Cash. I've been meaning to draw The Man In Black for a while, now. This turned out better than I expected. This is Pitt brush pen and Copic marker on bristol board with some scratchboard technique on the guitar. This is 7.5 x 4 inches.

This is for sale in my Etsy store, by the way, so if you have some loose change and want a picture of Johnny Cash (and who wouldn't? The Man in Black is cool, right?), you can buy him here.
